THANKS FOR THE
MEMORY
Over 135 million products in stock covering Volatile and Non-Volatile, including DRAMS, SRAM, FIFO, Dual-Ports, EPROM/EEPROM, NOR FLASH, SLC NANO, eMMC, FLASH and more!
The original PROM (Programmable Read-Only Memory) device was proposed at Bell Labs in 1967 and was further developed by Intel in 1971. 30 years later, EPROMs and EEPROMs are still used in countless designs.
FLASH MEMORY
After its introduction in 1980, Flash memory evolved into two different technologies. The original NOR flash technology could easily access all memory locations with a high degree of reliability, and the alternative NAND flash technology provided higher densities and lower costs.
SRAM Memory was invented in 1963 at Fairchild Semiconductor, as a follow-up to the IBM CMOS research of 1959, which led to the introduction of the Intel 3101 SRAM in 1969. Now migrated to manufactures such as Infineon, ISSI and Renesas.
DRAM MEMORY
The development of the DRAM was the beginning of a constant process of advancement that continues to this day. In 1970, Honeywell engaged with Intel to create a three-transistor cell DRAM, that lead to the first commercially available device in the 1k-bit Intel 1103. DRAM technology moved to EDO, Fast Page, SDRAM, DDR, DDR2,DDR3, DDR4 and today's technology DDR5 , also low power versions of all these variants
Rochester in partnership with SkyHigh Memory Ltd. provides a continued source of supply for low-density, mature NAND storage solutions. We focus on 100% authorised legacy and EOL semiconductor technologies, while SkyHigh specialises in NAND storage solutions in SLC and eMMC. With those combined talents, we support customers' storage needs worldwide.
Rochester offers inventory in two key DRAM technologies; SDRAM and DDR3. Our partnership with ISSI enables our mutual customers access to DRAM covering standard Sync DRAM, DDR, DDR2, DDR3, and DDR4 DRAMs and low latency RLDRAM2, with a range of DRAM with densities of 16Mb up to 4Gb depending on technology.
Providing a continuing source for mature DRAM and NAND products
Rochester Electronics, LLC and Intelligent Memory have joined forces to ensure the continued availability of mature and legacy DRAM and NAND storage solutions tailored for industrial and embedded applications.
